Neurological manifestations of SARS-CoV-2: complexity, mechanism and associated disorders
CONCLUSIONS: SARS-CoV-2 can lead to neurological complications, such as cerebrovascular manifestations, motor movement complications, and cognitive decline. COVID-19 infection can result in cerebrovascular symptoms and diseases, such as strokes and thrombosis. The virus can affect the neural system, disrupt cognitive function and cause neurological disorders. Diabetes status and other factors as correlates of risk for thrombotic and thromboembolic events during SARS-CoV-2 infection: A nationwide retrospective case-control study using Cerner Real-World Data™
Conclusions
Risk of TTE during COVID-19 illness is substantially higher in patients with diabetes. Further, risk for TTEs is higher in those with T1DM versus T2DM. Confirmation of increased diabetes-associated clotting risk in future studies may warrant incorporation of diabetes status into SARS-CoV-2 infection treatment algorithms.

Incidental Finding of Arteria Lusoria in COVID-19 Patient with Aortic Thrombus Complicated by Recurrent Limb Ischemia
We report the case of a 64-year-old woman with recent severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 pneumonia who was admitted to the hospital due to a giant floating thrombus in the ascending aorta with multiple ischemic events. Aortic computed tomography angiogram revealed an aberrant right subclavian artery associated with bicarotid trunk that might have protected carotid arteries from embol migration. Ischemic stroke in the setting of supratherapeutic International Normalized Ratio following coronavirus disease 2019 infection: a case report
ConclusionsThis case report highlights the potential for thromboembolic events, including stroke, in patients with COVID-19 infection, even when receiving therapeutic anticoagulation therapy. Healthcare providers should be vigilant for signs of thrombosis in COVID-19 patients, particularly those with pre-existing risk factors. Further research is necessary to understand the pathophysiology and optimal management of thrombotic complications in COVID-19 patients.

In conclusion, among several side effects that have been described during the treatment of COVID-19 with sotrovimab, ischaemic stroke was not reported. Therefore, we here report a rare case of ischaemic stroke with early clinical manifestation after the administration of sotrovimab for the treatment of moderate COVID-19 in an immunocompromised patient for the first time.

Letter to the Editor Regarding ‘A neonatal case of cerebral venous sinus thrombosis with intrauterine onset after COVID19 infection during pregnancy: cause or coincidence?’
We read with interest the article by Ozdil et al. about a three day-old female neonate who was diagnosed with venous sinus thrombosis (VST) which was complicated by a subacute, partial ischemic stroke in the territory of the right middle cerebral artery.1 The age of the stroke was estimated at 14-28 days before birth.1 Because the mother suffered a mild coronvirus disease-19 (COVID-19) infection during the initial weeks of the third trimester (gestational weeks 27-30), VST in the fetus was causally related to the severe, acute respiratory syndrome-coronavirus type-2 (SARS-CoV-2) infection of the mother.

The results of thrombectomy from the arteries of the lower extremities in patients infected with SARS-CoV-2 Omicron variant with different severity of respiratory failure
