Aetiology of extracranial carotid free-floating thrombus in a prospective multicentre cohort
CONCLUSIONS: The majority of symptomatic carotid artery FFT are likely caused by local plaque rupture, more than half of which are associated with moderate to severe carotid stenosis requiring revascularisation. ConclusionThis systematic review suggests that SVB is a safe and effective treatment for intracranial aneurysms in small vessels. Device trackability and reduced system dimensions, also facilitated the treatment of previously judged not amenable lesions, including a wide range of aneurysms located in anterior and posterior circulation distal vessels.
