New Trend I see Happening not mentioned in usual education- OSA.
Overweight, snores, problems falling asleep but not staying asleep.
When I see patients have all 3 of the above, and referred them for an OSA test so far 100% of those patients had OSA. How many have I referred for an OSA test? Literally several dozen and well over a hundred in the last few years. Despite this I see the typical patient with the above, and their PCP or other psychiatrist puts the patient on a sleep med and not address the OSA at all.
I believe this has been more a trend...

RLS > spinal
Did a total knee earlier today on a ASA 3 lady with restless leg syndrome, easy uneventful spinal. But patient is jerking her legs nearly the entirety of the case. She's snoring away the whole case and has zero pain post-op so the spinal obviously worked. How the hell is she moving her legs though? Anyone experience anything like this and if so any tricks? Surgeon was getting super annoyed and I was pretty close to converting to GETA and paralyzing. (Source: Student Doctor Network)

Haven’t done a fun thread in a while, this one is a tactful no bragging three fun facts nowhere else in your application.
1) Along with my cat (who did make it to my primary) I have a Pomeranian named Leo who loves to give high fives and snores like a jet engine.
2) I was a homeowner and subsequently a landlord before I had my first credit card (long story that shouldn’t even touch my application with a ten foot pole).
3) I consider my cowlick my defining facial feature. So much swoop...

Is it hopeless for me to apply to medical school?
So here's my story. I'm a community college transfer that recently got accepted to UCSB as an Economics major. I've always had a growing interest in the biological sciences, however, I decided to pursue Econ.
