Nuclear factor (NF)-κB plays an important role in the innate immune response by inducing antiviral genes’ expression. However, the herpes simplex virus 1 (HSV-1) virus has developed multiple ways to interfere with NF-κB activity to escape the host antiviral response. Here, we found that HSV-1 envelope glycoprotein L(gL) markedly inhibits interferon (IFN) production and its downstream antiviral genes. The identification of viral ribonucleotide reductase encoded by ORF23 and ORF141 genes and effect on CyHV-2 replication
ConclusionThese results suggest that the CyHV-2 proteins ORF23 and ORF141 function as viral ribonucleotide reductase and their function makes an effect to CyHV-2 replication. Targeting ribonucleotide reductase could be a crucial strategy for developing new antiviral drugs against CyHV-2 and other herpesviruses.

Long non-coding RNA SNHG9 regulates viral replication in rhabdomyosarcoma cells infected with enterovirus D68 via miR-150-5p/c-Fos axis
ConclusionOur findings indicate that the SNHG9/miR-150-5p/c-Fos axis influences EV-D68 replication in host cells and that SNHG9 may be a possible target for anti-EV-D68 infection therapies.

MiR-199a-3p-regulated alveolar macrophage-derived secretory autophagosomes exacerbate lipopolysaccharide-induced acute respiratory distress syndrome
