FKN Facilitates HK-2 Cell EMT and Tubulointerstitial Lesions via the Wnt/ β-Catenin Pathway in a Murine Model of Lupus Nephritis
In this study, we therefore examined whether FKN could stimulate the process of EMT, NF-kB, TGFβ, CCL22, F4/80, inflammation, and tubulointerstitial fibrosis in a murine model of LN. Glucocorticoid induces osteonecrosis of the femoral head in rats through GSK3 β-mediated osteoblast apoptosis.

Allopurinol-induced Sweet's syndrome.
We describe the case of an 87-year-old woman with hyperuricemia who developed classic Sweet's syndrome manifestations 8 days after being treated with allopurinol. Patient's symptoms included fever, painful edema in the hands and lower limbs with non-pruritic erythematous plaques topped by pus-filled skin blisters, right eye conjunctivitis, splenomegaly and joint pain. Src siRNA prevents corticosteroid-associated osteoporosis in a rabbit model
In an established steroid-associated osteonecrosis (SAON) rabbit model we found recently that blockage Src by siRNA could improve reconstructive repair of osteonecrosis via enhancing osteogenesis and inhibiting bone resorption. The current study investigated if blocking Src was able to prevent steroid-associated osteoporosis (SAOP) in the same SAON animal model. Rabbits were treated with pulsed lipopolysaccharide (LPS) and corticosteroid methylprednisolone (MPS). At 2, 4, 6weeks after induction, Src siRNA, control siRNA and saline were intramedullary injected into proximal femur, respectively.

Decrease of Murine Cytomegalovirus-Induced Retinitis by Intravenous Delivery of Immediate Early Protein-3-Specific siRNA Immunology and Microbiology
Conclusions. Systemic administration of IE-3–specific siRNA could alleviate MCMV retinitis by inhibiting virus replication and subsequent death of uninfected retinal cells.
