Association of pulmonary hypertension with outcomes in patients with Systemic sclerosis and other connective tissue disorders: review and meta-analysis
CONCLUSIONS: Patients with SSc-PH are characterized by significantly lower survival function as compared to SSc patients without PH. Among the different entities of PH, SSc shows the worst survival, underlining prognostic significance of detection and evaluation of PH according to the currently established approach.PMID:38567564 | DOI:10.36141/svdld.v41i1.14570 (Source: Sarcoidosis Vasculitis and Diffuse Lung Diseases)

A Novel Human Interleukin ‐23A Overexpressing Mouse Model of Systemic Lupus Erythematosus
ConclusionWe have generated and characterized a novel genetic mouse model of SLE, providing proof-of-concept for the etiopathogenic role of human IL-23A. This new model has a normal life span and integrates several characteristics of the human disease's complexity and chronicity, making it an attractive preclinical tool for studying IL-23 –dependent pathogenic mechanisms and assessing the efficacy of anti–human IL-23A or modeled disease-related therapeutics. The use of large animal spontaneous models of solid cancers, such as dogs with osteosarcoma (OS), can help develop new cancer immunotherapy approaches, including chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T cells. Therefore, the goal of the present study was to generate canine CAR T cells targeting the B7-H3 (CD276) co-stimulatory molecule overexpressed by several so...

Analysis of m6A-regulated genes and subtype classification in lupus nephritis
Lupus nephritis (LN) is the most common and severe clinical manifestation of systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE). N6-methyladenosine (m6A) is a reversible RNA modification and has been implicated in various bio... (Source: BMC Nephrology)

Risk factors for initial and recurrent severe infections in first hospitalized patients with systemic lupus erythematosus: A retrospective study of a Chinese cohort
ConclusionIn this cohort of SLE, patients with severe infection had a higher risk of reinfection, and low immunoglobulin, anti-dsDNA antibody positivity, and cyclophosphamide use were independent risk factors for recurrent severe infection. (Source: International Journal of Rheumatic Diseases)
