Evidence for Reversal of Immunosuppression by Homeopathic Medicine to a Predominant Th1-type Immune Response in BALB/c Mice Infected with Leishmania donovani
CONCLUSION: This is the first study in which an axenic culture of Leishmania donovani has been used for the preparation of a homeopathic medication. The study highlights the anti-leishmanial and immunomodulatory potential of a homeopathic nosode in experimental VL.PMID:34454405 | DOI:10.1055/s-0041-1727170

The Effect of Iodium 30c on Experimental Visceral Leishmaniasis.
CONCLUSION:  This original study has shown that Iodium 30c had significant impact in controlling parasite replication in experimental VL, though the effect was less than that using standard pharmaceutical treatment. PMID: 32823292 [PubMed - as supplied by publisher]

Characterization of Antimonium crudum Activity Using Solvatochromic Dyes.
CONCLUSION:  The data confirm a correspondence between the biological effects of dilutions of AC in-vitro and physico-chemical effects on solvatochromic dyes as measured by changes in their visible spectra. Results also indicate high dilutions of AC are sensitive to exposure to electric currents and biological systems. PMID: 31604351 [PubMed - as supplied by publisher]

M1 homeopathic complex trigger effective responses against Leishmania (L) amazonensis in vivo and in vitro.
Abstract Leishmaniasis is a term referring to a range of clinical conditions caused by protozoan parasites of the genus Leishmania, Trypanosomatidae family, Kinetoplastida order that is transmitted by the bite of certain species of mosquitoes Phlebotominae subfamily. These parasites infect hosts wild and domestic mammals, considered as natural reservoirs and can also infect humans. Leishmania are obligate intramacrophage protozoa that have exclusively intracellular life style. This suggests that the amastigotes possess mechanisms to avoid killing by host cells. Cutaneous leishmaniasis, the most common form of the ...

Modulation of inflammation response to murine cutaneous Leishmaniasis by homeopathic medicines: Antimonium crudum 30cH.
CONCLUSION: The treatment of mice with Antimonium crudum 30cH induced a predominantly B cell pattern of immune response in Leishmania (L.) amazonensis experimental infection, alongside the increase of free amastigote forms number in the infection site. The clinical significance of this study is discussed, further studies are suggested. PMID: 25439043 [PubMed - in process]

Modulation of inflammation response to murine cutaneous Leishmaniosis by homeopathic medicines: Thymulin 5cH.
CONCLUSIONS: Thymulin 5cH is able to improve B1 cell activation and Leishmania (L) amazonensis phagocytosis efficiency in mice, similarly to that observed previously in BCG experimental infection. PMID: 25439044 [PubMed - in process]
