Question about Chi University acupuncture final exams
Hi. Has anyone taken the Chi University acupuncture course? I'm interested in it and reading up about the course structure and certification requirements on their website. I'm curious to know about the format of the "clinical acupoint exam" in the final session. Like, is it one-on-one with a professor, or is it in a group? Is it done with a live animal, and you have to physically locate the acupuncture points? Or is there a model with a point marked, and you have to identify it? etc. I... Foreign neurosurgeon - Options in the US
Hello My Dad is currently a neurosurgeon in foreign country. He specializes in acupuncture in treating back pain (he no longer does surgeries). He will be living in US from next year after obtaining a Green card, and he still wishes to treat patients in US. But he does not want to re-do 3-4 yrs of residency in US to obtain US medical license (he is 60 years old). It will be unlikely for him to attend acupuncture school for >3 years to obtain acupuncture license. I am aware that he... Read more (Source: Student Doctor Network)

when all the usual treatment options have failed
Curious to know what you tell your patients when all the usual treatment options have failed? Especially the outside of the box, alternative options, perhaps not necessarily with strong evidence support? By usual treatments, I am thinking: 1) Non-opioid meds: Tylenol, NSAIDs, muscle relaxers, anti-depressants (e.g. duloxetine), anti-neuropathic meds (e.g. gabapentin) 2) Tramadol 3) PT, exercise 4) chiropractic 5) acupuncture 6) injections, RFA 7) surgery And then maybe take it one step... Mobile/Traveling Equine Practice and Physiotherapy- Does this exist?
So I was just sort of curious if anyone knows of an equine vet who does this, and if it's even a viable option. Would being a "traveling" equine vet (as in covering multiple states and not really having a "home base" practice) be possible with licensing/client relationships? I plan to go into equine practice (of some capacity) and would like to eventually get certified in chiro/acupuncture/physiotherapy and mostly work in that capacity. (I am aware that isn't an "immediate" career goal, and... Mobile/Traveling Equine Practice and Physiotherapy- Does this exist? (Source: Student Doctor Network)
