March 2018 RxNorm Release Available for Download
TheMarch 2018 RxNorm release is available as of Monday, March 5 and includes a new “Oral Tablet with Sensor” dose form, “Breath-Actuated” qualitative distinction, and a new unit of measure “SQ-HMD”. As a reminder, the Veterans Health Administration (VHA) is replacing its National Drug File-Reference Terminology (NDF-RT) with Medication Reference Terminology (MED-RT). March 2018 SNOMED CT US Edition is now available for download
In addition to 363 new concepts specific for the US, theMarch 2018 SNOMED CT US Edition also contains all of the content from the January 2018 SNOMED CT International Edition. Approximately 200 requests for terminology additions and updates were submitted via theUS Content Request System (US CRS) to support US clinical health information data exchange. This latest version of the US Edition also includes the SNOMED CT to ICD-10-CM mapping reference set, with over 122,000 SNOMED CT source concepts mapped to ICD-10-CM targets. February 2018 RxNorm Release Available for Download
TheRxNorm February 2018 Release is now available for download and contains the last expected version of the Veterans Health Administration ’s (VHA) National Drug File-Reference Terminology (NDF-RT). The VHA plans to cease publication of NDF-RT and begin releasing Medication Reference Terminology (MED-RT) in its place in the first quarter of 2018, with the anticipated first release of MED-RT to be March 5th. The last release of NDF- RT is planned to be February 2018 which will be in the February RxNorm release and will remain in the RxNorm full monthly releases for at least six months.
