Methodological Considerations in Comparing Access to Pre-emptive Renal Transplantation between SLE and other ESRD causes in the USRDS
We compared pre-emptive transplant rates between SLE and non-SLE end-stage renal disease (ESRD) from the U.S. Renal Data System (USRDS) and investigated the potential influence of frequency matching and primary ESRD causes in the non-SLE group. (Source: Seminars in Arthritis and Rheumatism)

Functional impairment measurement in psoriatic arthritis: Importance and challenges
Patients with psoriatic arthritis (PsA) experience substantial physical impairment. This is commonly assessed using the patient-reported Health Assessment Questionnaire –Disability Index (HAQ-DI), which was originally developed in rheumatoid arthritis. The purpose of this review is to examine the value and challenges of using the HAQ-DI in patients with PsA, and to discuss alternative measures of functional impairment in this condition. Malignancy development risk in psoriatic arthritis patients undergoing treatment: A systematic review and meta-analysis
Psoriatic arthritis (PsA) is a chronic and seronegative inflammatory arthritis occurring in patients with psoriasis. The current knowledge about the risk of malignancy associated with psoriatic arthritis (PsA) patients undergoing therapy is controversial. We focused on the relationship between malignancy and therapy and undertook a meta-analysis to address this issue. (Source: Seminars in Arthritis and Rheumatism)

Management of Skin, Mucosa and Joint Involvement of Beh çet's Syndrome: A Systematic Review for Update of the EULAR Recommendations for the Management of Behçet's Syndrome
The aim of this systematic review was to inform the update of European League Against Rheumatism (EULAR) Recommendations for the management of Beh çet's syndrome (BS), on the evidence for the treatment of skin, mucosa and joint involvement of BS. (Source: Seminars in Arthritis and Rheumatism)

Predictors of positive 18F-FDG PET/CT-Scan for large vessel vasculitis in patients with persistent polymyalgia rheumatica
Polymyalgia rheumatica (PMR) is often the presenting manifestation of giant cell arteritis (GCA). Fluorine-18-fluorodeoxyglucose positron emission tomography/computed tomography (PET/CT) scan often discloses the presence of large vessel vasculitis (LVV) in PMR patients. We aimed to identify predictive factors of a positive PET/CT scan for LVV in patients classified as having isolated PMR according to well-established criteria. Frequency, treatment, evolution, and factors associated with the presence of tracheobronchial stenoses in granulomatosis with polyangiitis. Retrospective analysis of a case series from a single respiratory referral center
Granulomatosis with polyangiitis -a primary systemic vasculitis- most frequent manifestations are respiratory. Airway disease can present with stenosis, and although subglottic stenosis (SGS) is well described, narrowing distal to the glottis has been more recently the focus of reporting. Our objectives, therefore, are to describe the frequency, characteristics, and treatment of tracheobronchial stenoses (TBS) in granulomatosis with polyangiitis (GPA) at our institution, a national referral center for respiratory diseases. Concurrent inflammatory myopathy and myasthenia gravis with or without thymic pathology: a case series and literature review
The association of myasthenia gravis (MG) and inflammatory myositis (IM) is rare and typically only one of the diseases is present. The management of the two diseases differs, therefore it is important to recognize the concomitant presentation. Here, we report a case series of 7 patients with co-existing MG and IM with review of the literature. (Source: Seminars in Arthritis and Rheumatism)

Myeloperoxidase-ANCA-positive granulomatosis with polyangiitis is a distinct subset of ANCA-associated vasculitis :A retrospective analysis of 455 patients from a single center in China
Antineutrophil cytoplasmic antibody (ANCA) directed to proteinase 3 (PR3) used to be considered the serologic marker for granulomatosis with polyangiitis (GPA). However, patients with myeloperoxidase (MPO)-ANCA positive GPA have been increasingly reported. The aim of this study was to analyze the clinical and pathological characteristics and outcome of Chinese patients with MPO-ANCA positive GPA. (Source: Seminars in Arthritis and Rheumatism)

Gout of the axial joint —A patient level systemic review
Gout is the osteoarticular expression of hyperuricemia, resulting from excessive production and/or insufficient elimination of uric acid. Emerging case reports described the deposition of mono sodium urate in the spine as a rare manifestation of gout, we aimed in revealing the full picture of reported axial joint gout (AJG).
