Willis-Ekbom disease (also known as restless legs syndrome) is a distinctive but often misdiagnosed sensorimotor disorder that affects more than 5% of the population. Primary features include paresthesias deep in the limbs that compel the person to move in order to relieve the sensations, which occur when the afflicted individual is at rest, primarily in the evening and at night. Wayne Hening Young Investigator Awards
Named to honor the memory of a pioneer in RLS research and established in 2010, the Wayne Hening Young Investigator Awards are presented at the annual meeting of the IRLSSG. The $1,000 awards recognize research efforts by new investigators in an attempt to promote interest in the study of RLS. The 2015 Wayne Hening Young Investigator Awards will be made to welcome: 1.
