Thinking About Dentistry Instead of Respiratory Therapy:
I am a 26-year-old Community College student who is thinking about becoming a Respiratory Therapist. However, recently I have been considering Dentistry after taking this career aptitude assessment called You Science through my college's career services office. The assessment showed that I have a strong aptitude for Orthodontics and Prosthodontics. I know this would take 4 years of undergrad along with 4 years of dental school and then another graduate program for either Orthodontics or... Read more (Source: Student Doctor Network)

MCAT May 20 - Advice NEEDED!
I appreciate your time and tips, Briefly - I am a non-traditional pre-med and graduated with a bachelors in respiratory therapy in 2019. I have since been working weekends as a respiratory therapist. It has been several years since I have taken any of the prerequisites other than chemistry and organic, which I just took last fall. Due to several factors, I only have this short time between now and May 20 to get ready. I decided to take AAMC FL1 to determine where I stand, and my scores... Respiratory Therapy (Pre-Med track) Good path for cards/pulm?
Hi guys, So I am a pre-med who is about to finish their undergraduate degree this May (BS in Psychology) with a 3.0gpa. I am greatly interested in non-interventionist cardiology and pulmonology so I think becoming an RT would be helpful to that cause. I one day hope to apply for medical school but I am well aware of the insane competition and that a gpa that low will have serious difficulty getting accepted. My plan was to do a post-bacc and work on the side as a scribe like everyone else... Respiratory Therapy (Pre-Med track) Good path for cards/pulm? (Source: Student Doctor Network)

RRT TO DO? Need advice.
I am in need of some advice. I graduated with my degree in biomedical sciences in 2017, original goal was to become a PA which led me to receive my respiratory therapy license to gain some patient experience. I currently work in a level 1 trauma center where I work in ER and Trauma and have really contemplated on switching career paths to possibly applying to medical school instead of PA programs. I unfortunately can’t score well on the mcat, first time I took the exam I studied for 3 months... RRT TO DO? Need advice. (Source: Student Doctor Network)

Am I Being Reasonable, Or Am I setting myself Up For Disappointment?
Hey, everyone. I was hoping to get some options on my perhaps nontraditional plan to enter the PA feild. I'm a 22 year old, who is about to start junior year for my bachelors of science in respiratory therapy. I actually have an associates of applied science in mental health/human services which I just obtained in 2016. This was because when I first entered (community) college thought I wanted to be a therapist. However after getting a clinical associate job at a level one trauma center, I...
