Impacts of digital finance on energy efficiency: does environmental regulation matter?
Environ Sci Pollut Res Int. 2024 Mar 2. doi: 10.1007/s11356-024-31916-y. Online ahead of print.ABSTRACTThe paper examines how digital finance affects energy efficiency in China using a dynamic panel model and data from 282 cities between 2011 and 2019. The study is based on the hypothesis which is related with digital finance, environmental regulation, and energy efficiency. The results indicate that: (1) Digital finance significantly improves energy efficiency, and this finding is consistent after several tests; (2) Digital finance has a positive effect on energy efficiency in non-resource-based cities, recession and rege...

Clinical relevance of distolingual roots and periodontal status in mandibular first molars: a cross-sectional study employing CBCT analysis
ConclusionsThe prevalence of PMFM-DLR in Eastern China was relatively high in our cohort. The morphological features of DLR were correlated with the periodontal status of mandibular first molars. This study provides critical information on the morphological features of DLR for improved diagnosis and treatment options of mandibular molars with DLR. (Source: Journal of Zhejiang University. Adult Outcome After Partial Androgen Insensitivity Syndrome: Diagnosed and Assigned Female in Infancy
J Clin Res Pediatr Endocrinol. 2024 Feb 29. doi: 10.4274/jcrpe.galenos.2024.2023-12-17. Online ahead of print.ABSTRACTThis patient, now in her 40s, was evaluated because of genital ambiguity and diagnosed with pAIS in infancy based upon elevated testosterone and gonadotropin levels and significantly reduced binding affinity of the androgen receptor. Such reduced binding is consistent with a structural abnormality of the receptor protein precluding expected activity of the androgen receptor. Based on this information and counseling, her parents chose a female sex assignment. She had clitoral recession and testes removal as ...

Efficacy of acellular xenogeneic dermal matrix graft in the treatment of multiple gingival recessions: systematic review and meta-analysis
ConclusionsCTG is more effective than AXDM in treating multiple gingival recessions. This is evidenced by significant reductions in gingival recession height and width, a higher mean percentage of root coverage, and a greater percentage of complete root coverage at the 6-month follow-up.Clinical relevanceIn some clinical situations an alternative to CTG is required for the treatment of multiple gingival recessions. AXDM, despite presenting clinical outcomes that are not as satisfactory as CTG, can be used for this purpose. (Source: Clinical Oral Investigations)

Pediatric myopic strabismus fixus: clinical features and surgical outcomes of silicone band loop myopexy
CONCLUSION: The clinical profile of MSF in children is almost similar to adults. This condition is a rare entity among adults as well as children. Majority of children with MSF presented with esotropia-hypotropia complex. Silicone band loop myopexy with or without medial rectus recession proves to be a reliable surgical procedure as it provides stable outcomes in terms of ocular alignment and motility among children.PMID:38380479 | DOI:10.1080/09273972.2024.2306348 (Source: Strabismus)
