Europe is in trouble. The Great Recession has heavily hit Southern Europe and has polarized the Continent between North and South. Growing nationalism in many EU countries and the increasing division of national societies provoke a tendency to fragmentation. Racism and xenophobia are also on the rising nearly everywhere. The crisis is deep and manifold and there are not simple remedies for it.
