GSE205063 A natural mutation of the NST1 gene arrests secondary cell wall biosynthesis in the seed coat of hull-less pumpkins
Contributor : Xiaolong LyuSeries Type : Expression profiling by high throughput sequencingOrganism : Cucurbita pepoPurpose: The goals of this study are to compare The difference of RNA expression between Pumpkins seed coat and hulled-less Pumpkins seed coat. Methods:Using Trizol kit, total RNA was extracted from seed coats of squash with and without shells under the conditions of 5 DAP, 10 DAP and 20 DAP. Then, 1 µ g RNA was extracted from each sample using the Illumina Hiseq 2000 platform for sequencing. (Source: GEO: Gene Expression Omnibus)

Molecules, Vol. 27, Pages 3351: The Selection of the Optimal Impregnation Conditions of Vegetable Matrices with Iodine
This study aimed to determine the use of selected vegetables (pumpkin, cauliflower, broccoli, carrot) as carriers of potassium iodide (KI) and potassium iodate (KIO3) by determining changes in iodine content under various conditions of impregnation as the degree of hydration, impregnated sample temperature, and impregnation time. The influence of these conditions on iodine contents in vegetables after their fortification and storage (21 °C/230 days) was analyzed. The results showed that all selected vegetables could be efficient iodine carriers. However, the conditions of the impregnation process are crucial fo...
