Dramatic changes in state-level cannabis laws (CL) over the past 25 years have shifted societal beliefs throughout the US with unknown implications for youth. In the present study we conducted an updated systematic review and meta-analysis examining estimated effects of medical CL (MCL) and recreational CL (RCL) on past-month cannabis use among US youth. Integrating the Attachment, Regulation, and Competency Trauma-Informed Framework inInpatient, Day Treatment, Partial Hospitalization, and Residential Treatment Settings
Pediatric mental health needs are currently on the rise across all levels of care. The COVID-19 pandemic accentuated concerns within our mental health system, not only for those requiring care, but also for care providers. One particular area of concern is access to care for those that require acute care or crisis stabilization (eg, emergency department visits or stays on crisis stabilization units). The Attachment, Regulation, and Competency (ARC) approach, a flexible trauma-informed treatment framework, provides equitable and effective treatments for youth as well as systems to support health care professionals caring fo...

Independent and Joint Associations of Physical Activity and Sleep on Mental Health Among a Global Sample of 200,743 Adults
ConclusionWhile findings suggest sleep can help to offset the negative influence of a physically inactive lifestyle (and vice versa), our results point to a “more is better” approach for both behaviors when it comes to promoting mental health. (Source: International Journal of Behavioral Medicine)
