Are Foreign medical schools now a really bad idea?
by Carolined (Posted Thu Jan 04, 2018 3:13 pm) Hi.Personally I'm thinking about European schools. I'm considering Jagiellonian Univ in Cracow, Poland and Charles Univ in Prague, Czech. I was thinking about Germany, UK, but costs of living are just huge in there. I compared medical schools in West and East Europe and all the costs and I believe Czech Rep or Poland is not a bad idea. Poland medical schools
Any thoughts on Poland english medical programs? In terms of ranking, reputation, coming back to US to practice, step 1 scores?
I applied to US schools this cycle but I'm not getting any interviews. I am considering retaking my MCAT or possibly doing an SMP, but I am also considering international schools. Hi all, hope someone who is/was a student at Jagelonian Med school can get back to me. I would like to know what it takes to be able to practice in the United States after graduating from Jagelonian Med school and doing the last year internship at Rochester medical school? Chances of getting into med school in Poland
I am entering my 4th year at the University of Toronto and I want to go to Poland to do the 4 year med school program in English. If all goes well this year my cGPA should be at around a 3.6-3.7. I also have average MCAT scores and have done over 3 years of volunteering at one of the largest hospitals in Toronto. I was just wondering if anyone could give me an indication of how good my chances are of getting into medical school in Poland, preferably in Poznan as I have lots of family near there.
