SARS-CoV2-specific humoral and T-cell immune response after second vaccination in liver cirrhosis and transplant patients
Detailed information on the immune response after second vaccination of cirrhotic patients and liver transplant (LT) recipients against SARS-CoV-2 is largely missing. We aimed at comparing the vaccine-induced humoral and T-cell responses of these vulnerable patient groups. (Source: Clinical Gastroenterology and Hepatology)

Work loss in patients with celiac disease: A population-based longitudinal study
Celiac disease (CD) affects around 1% of the population worldwide. Data on work disability in celiac patients remain scarce. We estimated work loss in celiac patients including its temporal relationship to diagnosis. (Source: Clinical Gastroenterology and Hepatology)

Severity of Hepatitis B Relapse After Cessation of Nucleos(t)ide Analog: Need  a Closer Look!
We read with interest the research article by Hsu et  al1 regarding the severe acute exacerbation (SAE) after cessation of nucleos(t)ide analog (NA) for hepatitis B e antigen–negative chronic hepatitis B. Many important issues need further consideration. (Source: Clinical Gastroenterology and Hepatology)

Impact of HBeAg on Hepatocellular Carcinoma Risk During Oral Antiviral Treatment in Patients with Chronic Hepatitis B
Antiviral treatment from hepatitis B envelope antigen (HBeAg)-positive status may attenuate the integration of hepatitis B virus DNA into the host genome causing hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). We investigated the impact of HBeAg status at the onset of antiviral treatment on the risk of HCC. (Source: Clinical Gastroenterology and Hepatology)

We would like to thank Dr Jindal and coworkers for their interest in our work. Long story short, our manuscript describes a proof-of-concept study on the prognostic value of nonselective β-blocker (NSBB)-treatment-related (emphasis on “related”) changes in a noninvasive test (ie, von Willebrand factor antigen [VWF]). Although we find our hypothesis of VWF being a biomarker for nonhemodynamic effects of NSBB therapy very compelling, we have always abstained from claiming a causa l relationship. Indeed, the discussion section explicitly states that “a causal relationship … cannot be proven due to the design of our s...

The Application of Underwater Endoscopic Mucosal Resection for Nonampullary Duodenal Adenomas
We read with great interest the study written by Yamasaki et  al.1 The authors reported the efficacy and safety of underwater endoscopic mucosal resection (UEMR) for nonampullary duodenal adenomas. With more and more research on UEMR in recent years, their results are important for clinical practice. However, we do have some comments. (Source: Clinical Gastroenterology and Hepatology)
