P165/237 Development and Validation of a novel stenosis model for percutaneous transluminal angioplasty training
ConclusionThe authors propose a novel ICA stenosis simulation model for training of PTA.The model provides a realistic and replicable method for standardized procedural training.Disclosure of InterestNothing to disclose (Source: Journal of NeuroInterventional Surgery)

Clinical outcomes of indwelling needle-delivered urokinase thrombolysis in the treatment of thrombosed arteriovenous grafts
CONCLUSIONS: Indwelling needle-delivered urokinase thrombolysis is an acceptable method for the treatment of thrombosed AVGs. Compared with thrombectomy and PTA, thrombolysis and PTA can significantly shorten the time to use the operating room without reducing primary and secondary patency or increasing complications.PMID:37589278 | DOI:10.1177/11297298231191368 (Source: The Journal of Vascular Access)

Recurrent syncope due to central venous occlusion in a patient undergoing hemodialysis
J Vasc Access. 2023 Aug 5:11297298231191608. doi: 10.1177/11297298231191608. Online ahead of print.ABSTRACTA 66-year-old male patient receiving maintenance hemodialysis with arteriovenous fistula of the right upper limb was admitted to the hospital because of intermittent syncope, dizziness, and distension. Central venography indicated occlusion of the right brachiocephalic vein (RBV), and the contrast agent flowed from the right internal jugular vein into the intracranial vein, then into the contralateral internal jugular vein, and finally returned into the superior vena cava. Percutaneous transluminal angioplasty was per...

Perioperative intravenous Iloprost therapy in addition to percutaneous transluminal angioplasty improves patency for peripheral arterial occlusive disease
Conclusion: The present study demonstrated that primary patency at 12 months and assisted primary patency rates, freedom from reintervention was significantly higher and bailout stenting was found to be significantly lower. We believe that perioperative Intravenous Iloprost therapy is beneficial for PTA and improves outcomes.PMID:37531578 | DOI:10.1177/02676591231193265 (Source: Perfusion)

Factors affecting the primary patency of native arteriovenous fistulas after ultrasound-guided percutaneous transluminal angioplasty
CONCLUSIONS: UG-PTA is a safe and effective method for the treatment of peripheral stenosis of AVF. Previously failed AVF and elevated parathyroid hormone levels are associated with lower primary patency rate.PMID:37488970 | DOI:10.1080/0886022X.2023.2233623 (Source: Renal Failure)

Recanalization of occluded central veins in hemodialysis patients using a dual lumen microcatheter
CONCLUSIONS: Dual lumen microcatheters may serve as an alternative strategy to cross central vein occlusions during PTA.PMID:37475572 | DOI:10.1177/11297298231188787 (Source: The Journal of Vascular Access)
