I am just wanting to know if there is anyone who has tapered off Paxil successfully? How long were you on the medication? What was the dose?
I suffer from anxiety/depression that seems to stem around my periods and menstrual cycle, more like PMDD (premenstrual dysphoric disorder). Also, this only seems to effect me in the winter months. The way that I have worked this out is by keeping an on/off diary through the years.

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration has just approved the drug "Brisdelle" (paroxetine) for the treatment of hot flashes due to menopause. This is the first non-hormonal treatment to be approved by the FDA for hot flashes associated with menopause. Brisdelle contains the selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor paroxetine mesylate, making it unique from all other FDA-approved treatment for hot flashes which contain the hormones estrogen or progestin.
