CAP advocacy updates
Am I the only one or do they always seem to convey a sense of groveling in the face of sneering insurers and/or various legislatures or government agencies? There are the occasional snippets of “good” news that we won’t be screwed as badly as we thought or something is delayed after much begging. But, overall, it seems to be pretty weak. It is to the point where people really celebrate an action that allows us to be paid for some professional service, as if it is a bone tossed to us. (Source: Student Doctor Network)

Couples matching as DOs
Anyone here participate in couples matching? My SO applied to pathology and has 8 interviews so far. I am applying to IM so I’m wondering if I should email the IM program at those institution to let them know we are couple matching. Just wondering if that might help me get an interview too (Source: Student Doctor Network)

I've recently had some life experiences that's making me second think everything, not just applying to medical school. On one hand, the amazing mastery over physiology & pathology the doctor I work for showed had really affirmed in me that that level of... Read more (Source: Student Doctor Network)

Remote lab directorship question
Hello, I am a relatively new in practice pathologist and have been approached by someone to become the lab director for a COVID-19 testing lab in another state. I won’t be able to visit the lab physically more than a couple times a year. Is this a big no-no or should I be looking further into it? And if I accept the role how much money should I be asking for? Thank you (Source: Student Doctor Network)
