DAMNIT-V/VITAMIN-D? Have them say (for vomiting in dog) "it could be metabolic disease such as Cushing's, Addison's, DM. Infectious/inflammatory such as viral, bacterial, fungal, protozoal, parasitic or gastritis, gastroenterititis". It has been a long time since being a student! Any input is... What Parasite made me realize
After watching the movie I realized the parallels of being a pharmacist to the movie Parasite. At the beginning I got accepted to Pharmacy and I thought I would escape the slums and be among the rich. However this was just a lie. After many years, I realized the student loans and hard retail environment has not really done anything special for me. I am stuck making huge student loan payments and working away my life with little to no enjoyment at high stress levels. The final scene where... Naturopathic Doctor? Parasites in blood? What?
So my friend recently went to someone who has is a "Naturopathic Doctor." He told my friend that he had parasites in his blood and apparently showed him under a microscope in real time? My degree is in Medical Laboratory Science, (looking at blood under the microscope is kind of a big part of the major) and I've never seen a "parasite." Who are these people? How do you kill a malaria parasite? Clog it with cholesterol
by thomas.m (Posted Fri May 27, 2016 1:01 am)Malaria is a mosquito-borne disease caused by Plasmodium parasites. After a person is bitten, the parasite invades the victim's red blood cells. There, it eventually divides into daughter parasites, which continue to destroy each red blood cell they infect. There are several drugs under development that interrupt this life cycle, including a class of compounds discovered in 2014 by Akhil Vaidya, PhD, a professor at Drexel University College of Medicine. In their 2014 study, Vaidya and his research team found that these drugs increase levels of sodium within the parasites' cells, ...

Trying to figure out how accurate the sweat test is before tomorrow
My son is 6 months old. Since he was born something has always felt a bit "off" for lack of a better word. His stools have always been bright green with mucus, he's had a chronic cough that is consistantly getting worse, he was always crying until about a month ago, he's always breathed funny, and he is always congested. I've been to several doctors, most of whom blew me off and told me it was a milk allergy or reflux. I tried reflux meds and a total elimination diet at first for months but neither helped. Finally I found a pediatritian who listens to my concerns. She sent me to a GI specialist who didn't feel li...
