Digital ethical reflection in home nursing care: Nurse leaders' and nurses' experiences
CONCLUSION: Success with Digital Ethical Reflection in home nursing care depends on clear leadership planning, nurses' understanding of the tool's purpose, and active use of digital registrations. Support from ethically interested nurses enhances overall engagement. Further research is needed to explore the potential of Digital Ethical Reflection as an additional tool in long-term care ethics work.PMID:38606684 | DOI:10.1177/09697330241244543 (Source: Nursing Ethics)

Effects of regional coordination of salmon louse control in reducing negative impacts of salmonid aquaculture on wild salmonids
Int J Parasitol. 2024 Apr 10:S0020-7519(24)00073-0. doi: 10.1016/j.ijpara.2024.04.003. Online ahead of print.ABSTRACTParasitic salmon lice (Lepeoptheirus salmonis) are a constraint to the sustainable growth of salmonids in open net pens, and this issue has caused production to level off in recent years in the most aquaculture-intensive areas of Norway. The maximum allowed biomass at a regional level is regulated by using the so-called "traffic light" system, where salmon louse-induced mortality of migrating wild salmon post-smolts is evaluated against set targets. As a case study, we have investigated how a specific aquacu...

COVID-19 and pregnancy: A European study on pre- and post-infection medication use
ConclusionOur findings highlight the substantial impact of COVID-19 on primary care medication use among pregnant women, with a marked increase in the use of antithrombotic medications post-COVID-19. These results underscore the need for further research to understand the broader implications of these patterns on maternal and neonatal/fetal health outcomes. Hypertensive disorders of pregnancy among women with cardiovascular disease in Norway: A historical cohort study
ConclusionsThe occurrence of hypertensive disease of pregnancy in the study cohort was more than doubled compared to the general population in Norway. The risk of HDP increased with maternal cardiovascular risk group. We recommend taking into account maternal cardiovascular risk group when assessing risk and prophylaxis of HDP. Occupational stress among Norwegian physicians: A literature review of long-term prospective studies 2007-2019
CONCLUSIONS: The reduction in occupational stress during the years after leaving medical school may result from increased competency in clinical work and decreased on-call work. The Co-ordination Act implemented in 2012 may explain the increase in occupational stress among GPs. These findings suggest that both reducing work-home conflict and increasing colleague support are important for doctors' well-being.PMID:38600437 | DOI:10.1177/14034948241243164 (Source: Scandinavian Journal of Public Health)

A cross-sectional study of variations in schoolwork stress in academic upper secondary school classes in Mid-Norway
CONCLUSIONS: The main contribution was the discovery of significant variations in schoolwork stress between school classes. We also found that higher mastery climate was linked to lower schoolwork stress, whereas higher performance climate was linked to higher schoolwork stress.PMID:38600071 | DOI:10.1177/14034948241242939 (Source: Scandinavian Journal of Public Health)
