Ebola Spreading In Nigeria
Ebola spreading in Nigeria, health officials in that country are reporting. To date, all cases can be traced back to the attempt of naturalized United States citizen Patrick Sawyer to knowingly elude his Ebola isolation to travel back in the US.
In the most recent development, spouses of two Nigerian healthcare workers who were infected by Sawyer have also developed the disease. As none of the spouses were put into isolation before this recent diagnosis, several dozen more people who were in contact with the infected spouses are now being asked to monitor themselves for symptoms.

Cameroon Closes Borders with Nigeria in Ebola Crisis
Cameroon has closed all borders with Nigeria in an effort to prevent the spread of Ebola into Cameroon, which has yet to report a case of the hemorrhagic viral fever.

Nigerian Doctors Continuing Strike During Ebola Crisis Fired
Nigerian officials have fired 16,000 physicians who continued their strike as the Ebola virus hit Lagos. The physicians went out a nationwide strike before the first case of Ebola was diagnosed, but ignored requests from the government to resume their duties to help contain the disease.

Patrick Sawyer Knowingly Spread Ebola to Nigeria
News storiess coming out of Africa are reporting that naturalized American citizen Patrick Sawyer knew he was infected with Ebola while in Liberia and, disregarding the danger to others, evaded the authorities monitoring him in an attempt to reach the United States.
Sawyer became ill on a flight to Nigeria on his way to America and came into physical contact with approximately 70 people. To date, one nurse in this group has died and eight others are ill from Ebola transmitted by Sawyer.
