NIDCR Clinical Research Fellowship Grand Rounds E-cigarettes are a rapidly growing form of recreational nicotine use that is being promoted as a safer alternative to cigarettes. Use, particularly among youth, is growing rapidly. This development raises the question of how to respond to the introduction of a new product when the specific dangers are not fully defined.
