The economic and social costs of mental ill health: review of methodology and update of calculations

Public satisfaction with the NHS and social care in 2023: results from the British Social Attitudes Survey
The King's Fund - The 2023 survey recorded the lowest levels of satisfaction since the survey began in 1983 – only 24% of the public are satisfied with the NHS, and only 13% are satisfied with social care. The prevalence of sexually transmitted infections in young people and other high risk groups
This report finds sexual health services (SHSs) to be under severe pressure, funding has reduced while data for 2022, the most recent available, shows that rates of gonorrhoea are the highest since records began in 1918 with young people most affected. In the same year syphilis cases reached a peak not seen since 1948, the cross-party committee cautioned. Recent trends in public sector pay
Institute for Fiscal Studies - Average pay in the public and private sectors has performed very differently since the election in 2019. These recent trends come on top of poor earnings performance in both sectors since 2007.
