Important research on freedom of information requests for regulatory data
Peter Doshi and Tom Jefferson have published an article in Trials reporting a case series of 12 requests to the European Medicines Agency (EMA) for regulatory data. A recently acquired Swiss national licence offers 8.2 million residents in Switzerland free access to the Cochrane Library’s collection of healthcare databases until 2020, including gold-standard Cochrane Systematic Reviews. New guidance available for authors on using social theories in preparing Cochrane Reviews of complex interventions
Complex intervention reviews can be aided by the application of social theories. Members of the Methodological Investigation of Cochrane Complex Intervention reviews project group, supported  by the Methods Innovation Fund and the Qualitative and Implementation Methods Group, have developed guidance to assist authors in the selection of social theories in reviews of complex interventions.
