Fingolimod (Gilenya) and PML
A third case of the brain infection PML has been reported in someone taking fingolimod. This person had not been taken immune suppressing drugs for MS, but had had chemotherapy and radiotherapy for cancer. Exercise benefits for children with MS
In a small study of children with MS and those without MS who had experienced a single neurologic attack, moderate physical activity was associated with less fatigue, and strenuous activity was associated with fewer relapses and less disease activity seen on MRI brain scans. Carers struggling to take holidays

Vitamin D recommendations - consultation
The Scientific Advisor Committee on Nutrition has published draft recommendations on vitamin D intake that are out to public consultation until 23 September. This guidance is based on vitamin D levels for maintaining musculoskeletal health. Evidence for a role in MS was considered but insufficient evidence was found to draw firm conclusions.
