NLM announces release of DOCLINE 5.0
Maria Collins  announced today the upcoming release of DOCLINE 5.0 on August 27, 2014.  The new release will have several changes, including an embargo field to serial holdings that will be used by the routing algorithm,  and monthly summary of ILL borrowing and lending for libraries.  Any and all libraries using the DOCLINE interlibrary loan system will be affected. Resources for Suspected Cases of Ebola Virus Disease
The National Library of Medicine has activated the Emergency Access  Initiative to facilitate free access to books and journals for health care professionals fighting the Ebola outbreak. NLM Emergency Systems Shutdown
We have just been notified by NLM of a systems shutdown. Please alert others in your institution who may be affected. Beginning at 6:00PM, ET, today, Wednesday, 13 August 2014, the NLM will begin a systems shutdown to allow for the emergency repair of the chilled water supply to the NLM Data Center.  These systems may be restored as early as 8:00 AM ET Thursday, 14 August, but possibly as late as 11:00 AM ET.    Most of the databases and systems on the NLM network are expected to be impacted.    Please check the NLM website  for updates.
