Only 0.1% of patients choose video consultation, reveals digital provider
As few as 0.1% of patients are requesting video consultation when given the choice, online consultation system provider askmyGP has revealed today.  The new data represents patient contact preferences in the first quarter of 2019, across a sample of 213,000 patients in 21 practices that use askmyGP’s online triage tools.  When contacting their practice, almost half of patients, 47%, asked to talk to their GP by phone and almost a third, 28%, by secure message. Hide related content:  Show related contentread more (Source: Management in Practice)

Only one FTE GP produced for every three graduates trained, says NHS England

' Time for Care' scheme frees up £40m in GP appointment time, reports NHS England
NHS England is extending the Time for Care programme, after reporting that it has saved nearly£40m worth of GP appointment time. NHS App pilot had ‘no negative impact’ on practices

10,000-patient practice to hand contract back in crisis town
