UK recognition of EU GP qualifications will not be reciprocated in event of No Deal
Mutual arrangements that recognise European Economic Area qualifications in the UK will not be reciprocated by European medical regulators, the GMC has said.

Digital services will help ease GP shortages, says Simon Stevens
The greater use of technology to deliver GP services will encourage part-time GPs to take on extra services and will help mitigate the effects of the'inverse care law', the NHS England chief executive has claimed.

21 million patients covered by Integrated Care Systems
One in three people in England are now served byintegrated care systems (ICSs), with three new areas now working collaboratively, NHS England has announced.

We were the first practice in the country to be connected to the NHS App, back in September 2018. Now, three quarters of all practices across England are connected, with more practices being linked in every day.

First practice mergers approved in Isle of Wight
NHS Isle of Wight CCG has approved the first GP practice mergers on the island.

CQC closes practice following unannounced inspection during Eid
A practice has said it is'shocked' by a CQC decision to close one of its surgeries with immediate effect following an‘additional unannounced inspection on Eid’.

Foundation trust takes over another GP practice in crisis town
An NHS foundation trust in North Yorkshire has taken over another GP practice in Bridlington that has been badly hit by the GP recruitment crisis, it has emerged.
Humber Teaching NHS Foundation Trust has announced it will now run Manor House Surgery in Providence Way, Bridlington, meaning the trust will provide GP services to around 45,000 people in Bridlington, Flamborough and neighbouring areas. Hide related content:

HEE launches return to practice campaign with Mumsnet
Health Education England (HEE) is turning to the parenting website Mumsnet to try and entice nurses back into general practice.
The return to practice marketing campaign is part of efforts to recruit at least 100 returning nurses into general practice by March 2020.
