The Dreaded C-
I told myself I wouldn't do a neurotic post on here, but ya'll made me neurotic. I got a C- in my first college chem course. Good grades in the others, strong advanced science courses postbacc, etc. I have read a lot of chatter about med schools not accepting C- for prereqs. However. I have scoured the websites of the two schools I have been accepted at, and neither of them says anything about needing a C or above for prereq courses. They just say "completion" required. Is this... The Dreaded C- (Source: Student Doctor Network)

Decided to start the path to MD, need some advice
I am a Junior in college and I decided to finally pursue the dream of becoming a Neurologist. Currently I have around a 3.0 cGPA I know it isn't the best but there is time and I believe in my abilities. I have not really taken any prereqs for med school besides calculus and physics, I am an Atmospheric Science major. I pretty much don't really know if I should extend a year and take prereqs or graduate and then do a post bacc and take them then? I am on an ROTC scholarship so either way I... I know this topic has been brought up before...
Here's the deal. My degree is a Bachelor of SCIENCE in Psychology so I have many classes that are of the PSYCxxxx classification, however they were heavily science and neuro/endocrine based (mechanism of neurotransmitter reuptake and hormone function for example was in far greater detail than any of my bio or physio classes). I know AACOMAS allows you sort your own sGPA classes and they will correct if necessary. What should I do in this case because, yup, you guessed, my sGPA sky rockets... Quitting Occupational Therapy Program for Medical School
Hello! I graduated in 2016 from a pre-med/Neurobiology program with a 3.8 GPA and 3.76 science GPA. I have always had the desire to go to medical school but felt that I could never get in. So I applied and was accepted into an OT program. I respect OT but being in the program is making me realize how much I truly love medicine. I'm not going to list all of the reasons here but I think that I would be able to explain to the ADCOMs why I chose to leave OT school. So my question is........ Is taking Physics 1+ Chemistry 2+ intro to neuroscience at same time unadvisable
So I have to take these three courses plus the 1 credit lab that goes with each course. So, basically I'm taking 12 credits of science classes. Unfortunately, I couldn't get into chemistry first semester so I've had to juggle my schedule to make everything work. Thanks for the help guys and happy thanksgiving! Best foot forward at this point in time?
I'm a recent graduate with a BA in health science and policy and I plan to go on for an MPH in epidemiology, environmental health, or health & behavioral sciences. Maybe a dual degree? I'm very interested in disability, neuropsychology, environmental health and the medical humanities. I have some research experience (summer research in a speech pathology laboratory, disability policy and legal research during undergrad), and I'm hoping to get more experience to get a better sense of what I... How much does the science matter when picking a specialty?
So ever since I decided to go into medicine, I was interested in neuroscience and wanted to be some sort of neuro doc. Now that I am a few months into medical school and I have been able to shadow and speak with more physicians, they seem to emphasize that, while an interest in the science and system functions is important, the day to day and the way that you get to treat patients as a clinician matters more. My question is, if I were to find something else that I am interested in the... How much does the science matter when picking a specialty? (Source: Student Doctor Network)

No idea what I'm doing... in desperate need of advice. Please.
Hi everyone. I am currently a senior at the University of Michigan majoring in biopsychology. I have an intense interest and passion for brain science, neuroscience, neurobiology, neuropsychology, etc. However, I am very confused on what grad program and career I should choose. I am a strong student with a high gpa, but a high gpa isnt the determiner of how your life will end up. I am fairly certain I do not want to be a doctor (MD). Like 90% sure. Although if I did, I would be a... No idea what I'm doing... in desperate need of advice. Please. (Source: Student Doctor Network)
