NSAIDs
Wondering what’s peoples go to NSAID for patients, why do you like it, assuming they have tried ibuprofen and naproxen already. Or do most people find trying a different NSAID typically doesn’t help many people. (Source: Student Doctor Network)

Hey guys. Warning beforehand. These are some questions I came across over the past few months. It’s going to be long, and I’m a newbie—an overthinking one especially! so if it seems dumb to you, please don’t waste your time. I thank u all in advance for any help! 1) when i get rxs for like naproxen or ibuprofen and the pt is already on aspirin 81, i never call lol. I call on class D and x interactions. Lexi shows this interaction as D-consider modification for aspirin w/nsaid but i never... Multiple questions regarding pharmacist practice (Source: Student Doctor Network)

NSAIDs inhibit ovulation
I think this is worth posting in the Pregnancy forum, as people with CF are often put on a regimen of Ibuprofen. It was not one of the three NSAIDs tested, but it's perhaps relevant nonetheless, especially at the CF dose. And even for CFers not trying to conceive, this may help understand your cycle and it's relationship to your meds (as well as things like weight, stress, and infection). http://www.medscape.com/viewarticle/846552 "The women were assigned to one of four treatment regimens: diclofenac 100 mg/day, naproxen 500 mg twice daily, etoricoxib 90 mg/day, or placebo.... 'All control patients on placebo ovul...

Chronic pain, opiates, and working?
I have a unique situation being that I'm 28 years old and suffering from chronic pain. I have confirmed bulging discs in my neck with bone spurs, degenerative disc disease, torn right hip labrum, post-op for left hip labral tear, and hypermobility syndrome. If you've never torn your hip labrum, it can be incredibly painful and disabling. It has made me couch-bound for the past few years. I could barely walk around to even do the household chores :( I've had two surgeries on my hips, and will be needing another one in a few months. I have been going through this for the past 4 years, so I'm hoping this is the last h...
