A patient with widespread skin lesions presenting with massive pleural effusion
Tuberk Toraks. 2023 Dec;71(4):420-427. doi: 10.5578/tt.20239610.ABSTRACTMycosis fungoides is the most commonly seen type of cutaneous T-cell lymphoproliferative disease. While mycosis fungoides is linked to an increased risk of developing secondary malignancies, the occurrence of B-cell-originated disease in association with it is exceedingly rare. A 66-year-old male with persistent papillomatous skin eruption was admitted due to dyspnea. Chest X-ray, positron emission tomography, and chest computed tomography revealed axillary and mediastinal lymph node enlargement and right lower pulmonary lobe infiltration along with ri...

GSE224449 Single cell RNA sequencing of blood and skin T cells from patient with mycosis fungoides
Contributors : Yun-Tsan Chang ; Desislava Ignatova ; Emmanuella GuenovaSeries Type : Expression profiling by high throughput sequencingOrganism : Homo sapiensCapture and processing of single skin and blood T cells was performed using the Fluidigm C1 Autoprep system. Cells were loaded at a concentration of 2,000 cells/ µL onto C1 integrated fluidic circuit chips for 5–10-µm cells. All C1 capture sites were microscopically inspected to identify the sites that contained only a single cell. Empty sites and those with multiple cells were excluded from further analysis. External RNA Controls Consortium spike-in RNA s serv...

Lichenoid mycosis fungoides: Report of a case with lichen planus ‐like histopathologic features
We report a 61-year-old patient with 5-year history of generalized violaceous patches and plaques. His biopsy revealed a marked lichenoid band-like infiltrate of inflammatory cells along the basal layer with basal layer vacuolar changes; the diagnosis of lichen planus was first made histopathologically. Several biopsy specimens, clinicopathologic correlation, and immunohistochemistry findings confirmed the diagnosis of lichenoid MF. Awareness of peculiar histopathologic findings of MF is essential to avoid a potential misdiagnosis. When in doubt, multiple biopsies with other diagnostic methods should be employed. (Source: ...

Epstein-Barr Virus Positive Diffuse Large B-Cell Lymphoma with Epidermotropism
Ann Dermatol. 2023 Nov;35(Suppl 2):S317-S322. doi: 10.5021/ad.22.105.ABSTRACTPrimary cutaneous B-cell lymphomas are rare diseases comprising nodular to diffuse lymphoid cell infiltration with an overlying grenz zone and no epidermal involvement upon histological analysis. Diagnostics can become challenging when lymphomas exhibit the characteristics of both B and T-cells. Differential diagnoses may include reactive proliferations, cutaneous composite lymphomas, and transformed mycosis fungoides. Immunohistochemistry and gene arrangement tests may be beneficial to clarify the diagnosis. Herein, we report a rare case of epide...
