Over-expression of Medicago Acyl-CoA-binding 2 genes enhance salt and drought tolerance in Arabidopsis
In this study, a total of eight ACBP genes were identified in the genome of Medicago truncatula and Medicago sativa, and they were clustered into four sub-families (Class I-IV). Many cis-acting elements related to abiotic response were identified in the promoter region of these ACBP genes, in particular light-responsive elements. These ACBP genes exhibited distinct expression pattern in various tissues, and the expression level of MtACBP1/MsACBP1 and MtACBP2/MsACBP2 gene pairs were significantly increased under NaCl treatment. Subcellular localization analysis showed that MtACBP1/MsACBP1 and MtACBP2/MsACBP2 were localized ...

Comparison of Limb Loading Characteristics and Subjective Functional Outcomes Between Sexes Following ACLR
CONCLUSION: Individuals approximately five months following ACLR, on average, offloaded their ACLR limb compared to the contralateral limb. Patients' tendency to offload their weight during a squat was influenced by sex. Relationships between limb loading metrics and PROs indicate patients who load their limbs disproportionately have a lower perception in their capability to complete activities of daily living and lower subjective knee function.PMID:38629487 | DOI:10.4085/1062-6050-0534.23 (Source: J Athl Train)

Coping strategies of intensive care unit nurses reducing moral distress: A content analysis study
DISCUSSION: The intensive care unit nurses in dealing with ethical problems first try to solve the problem through discussion, but when they fail to resolve it peacefully, they resort to several coping strategies. Factors, such as increasing experience, lack of support from hospital managers and officials, poor communication between colleagues, the need to maintain hierarchy, fear of reprimand, and a sense of powerlessness, changed the nurses' preferred strategies. It is important for managers to provide a blame/punishment-free atmosphere for expression of ethical experiences; a supportive atmosphere in which staff can eng...
