Merger and acquisition activity among hospitals and health system was alive and well in 2019 with two deals completed and two more edging closer to becoming finalized. Heartland Dermatology and Skin Cancer Center, with seven Kansas locations, has purchased Mid-Kansas Dermatology and its five Wichita-area locations. It will be Heartland's first foray into Wichita.
