Talking about chiropractic in DO interview
I think I already know the answer to this, but hear me out. I attended a chiropractic college for my post bacc and was obviously exposed to a lot of people that thought it was great. My consensus is that it’s fine for lower back pain, but definitely won’t cure cancer (or do many of the other things they claim it does). Anyway, my question is: if asked about “why DO?” in an interview would it be unwise to talk about how I’ve seen other forms of medicine that can be effective in certain... Low back pain when using lead apron
I'm new to the forum and wanted to see if I could get some advice. I have low back pain a lot of times when wearing the lead apron when doing procedures. I was wondering if anyone else had the same problems, and if they tried anything that helped. Specifically, are there more comfortable or lighter lead aprons out there that are easier on the low back? Thanks in advance. (Source: Student Doctor Network)

Share your funny (or not so funny) holiday stories with family as a med student?
Was a busy Easter. Had one uncle try to show me a growth in his groin area (he pulled down his pants and slid up his one boxer leg in the middle of the living room) where I was noncommittal and embarrassed for him and basically suggested a dermatologist and to put his pants back on. A cousin who wanted me to look at her throat and I saw nothing. Not even cobblestoning. A grandparent who wanted OMT for his lower back pain while a younger cousin muttered fake doctor under his breath. I... #pillpusher #injectionpimp #stimwhore ???
Taking inspiration from #balancetonporc and #MeeToo, should the pain community start naming names? Is it time to start Dox-ing the hell out of folks not following CDC guidelines, performing series of three's, and stimming for axial non-specific low back pain? (Source: Student Doctor Network)
