How do I Communicate with the the School
Hello everyone So I have a bit of a unique situation. I am not a US citizen or green card holder, also not on F1 or any student visa and also do not have DACA. I do have a SSN and do have legal status. I’ve been told before that I would simply get treated as an international student at most schools. I called my instate school (Rutgers University) and the lady on the phone didn’t seem too knowledgeable about the subject but said that I would be treated as international. Recently I found... Optometry-H1B
Hello! I am currently a 4 yr international optometry student ( but studying optometry school in US). And I just got a position for residency. However, my OPT will be ending before the end of the residency program. I would like to get some opinions about how to work legally during that period. - Do I have to find a sponsor to allow me to get H1B visa before the end of my OPT? - Where can I find a place that provide H1B visa without election? - or is there anyone has similar situation and can... Is your state of residence as important for residency apps as it is for med school apps?
I'm from the West Coast originally, but I'll be starting med school in the Midwest this summer. I'm thinking of becoming an "official" resident of my new state once I move (checked the laws and stuff for that state and pretty sure it's allowed), but while I'm not dead set on it or anything, it would be nice to be able to come back to the West Coast for residency. I know in-state status and ties to states are huge factors when it comes to med school admissions, but do they play as big of a... Read more (Source: Student Doctor Network)

Which schools prioritize your well-being?
Inevitably, vet school will be super-challenging. Does anyone have insight on which programs care about student emotional and physical well-being the most? Seems like U of A prioritizes this based on their website. Any others? Also, what do you anticipate are average classroom hours and study hour per week in the first two years? Thanks all! Community college and online for prereqs +/- post bacc
Hi all! Wondering if there is a centralized list of schools that accept community college and/or online courses for prereqs. Also, better to pursue formal post bacc versus individual prereqs? Post bacc is certainly more expensive! Thanks so much! (Source: Student Doctor Network)
