disclose a chronic kidney disease in personal statement?
the diagnosis is part of why i want to be a doctor. i'm perfectly okay right now but later on down the line i will most likely need dialysis etc. and it has been a learning experience. would this be an automatic no if i were to talk about this in my personal statement? Are there any procedures a general dentist cannot learn unless they attend a residency program?
I understand that OMS is an exception to this, but are there any procedures a general dentist cannot learn unless they attend a residency? I am leaning towards being a GP, but would like to learn as much as I can from CE. Mostly just curious about the level of autonomy a GP has to learn and practice on their own without needing to attend a residency program. (Source: Student Doctor Network)

Conceptualizing the Amount of Content in Med School
I want to get an idea of how dense the material is in reference to my prior experiences. In college, I took Organic Chemistry I (3 credits) in the span of 6 weeks during the summer, which was absolute hell. What is med school like compared to this frame of reference? Is each block (9 weeks) like learning 8 credits or something? (Source: Student Doctor Network)

Resident evals
I have to do some of these evals for residents as part of my current job. I try to be kind, and supportive, non-threatening, educational and informative to residents. I feel though as I did a lot more when I was a resident and, that attending where very harsh with me when I made any type of mistake. I try to be understanding with residents and get that they are learning. When it comes to evals, I think some residents are better than others. I want to be fair, but at the same time honest... Internship or practice
I am a rising 33 year old 4th year (34 when graduation comes in 2024) who wants to go into mixed animal GP ( Food+equine/ small animal) I was told I basically should do an internship and that there was no way I was going to be successful without one going into practice. I am a lower income student, to move separately from my fiancee and pets would put him in a bad position and myself. I am the type of person once I learn it then I remember the second time. I really don't want to do an... Read more (Source: Student Doctor Network)

Great Breast Imaging Fellowship in West and Southwest?
Brand names are easy to identify, but which programs have above average to excellent: - culture & teaching - procedure volume and diversity - schedules (i.e. your time is well spent on learning breast imaging and your electives of choice and not taking general rads call) And any non-match community programs that are worth a gander? TrueLearn QBank Advice
I’m a PGY2 anesthesiology resident in Canada. I’m not intending to write the ABA exams, but I’m interested in purchasing the question bank for learning/studying purposes. Of the basic, advanced, and in-training question banks, which would you recommend? I am looking for one that would be applicable to daily clinical cases and also reinforce key concepts for the board exam in the future. Thanks so much in advance! (Source: Student Doctor Network)
