This study demonstrates that funnel plots can be used for benchmarking purposes in LT. Case‐mix correction can be performed with the use of the ET‐DRI and sRRI. Early failure of kidney transplants in the current era —a national cohort study
Summary Although short‐term outcome after kidney transplantation has improved, a small proportion of grafts are lost during the first year. We characterize in detail all early graft losses in the current era in a nationwide cohort of kidney transplant recipients. Altogether 2447 kidney transplantations, performed between June 2004 and October 2016, were included. Access to kidney transplantation in European adults aged 75 to 84 years and related outcomes: An analysis of the ERA ‐EDTA Registry database
In conclusion, in the European dialysis population aged ≥75‐84 years access to kidney transplantation is low, and allocation of kidney transplants remains a rare event. Though both are increasing with time and vary considerably between countries. The trend towards improved survival outcomes is encouraging.
