Fetal premature atrial contractions: natural course, risk factors and adverse outcomes
CONCLUSIONS: PACs are generally benign and resolve often spontaneously. However, fetuses with irregular heart rate should be referred for advanced ultrasonography, which should focus on the type of PACs and risk classification. When risk factors for tachyarrhythmias are identified, weekly heart rate monitoring is advised until the PACs resolve. In the absence of risk factors, standard obstetric care may be sufficient with additional instructions to report reduced fetal movements. Should tachyarrhythmias or cardiac failure develop, referral back to the FMU is then indicated. This article is protected by copyright. All right...

Placenta accreta spectrum conservative management and coagulopathy: case series and systematic review
CONCLUSIONS: Our findings highlight that conservative management with PAS in situ poses a risk of coagulopathy. Keeping the placenta in situ after delivery prolongs the risk factors that are integral to PAS. The pathophysiology behind coagulopathy is comparable to that of concealed placental abruption (CPA), due to the disrupted maternofetal interface and the collection of blood in the placenta. The presence of large placental lakes could thus be an indicator of developing coagulopathy. This article is protected by copyright. Infantile outcome at 3  years of age among monochorionic twins with Type-II or -III selective fetal growth restriction with isolated oligohydramnios who underwent fetoscopic laser photocoagulation
CONCLUSIONS: FGR twins and larger twins, when subjected to FLP due to sFGR coupled with umbilical artery Doppler abnormalities and isolated oligohydramnios, exhibit low rates of neurological morbidity and low mortality, respectively. Therefore, FLP for Type II or III sFGR with oligohydramnios may be a feasible and preferable management option. This article is protected by copyright.
