A systematic review of psychological interventions in adults with pulmonary hypertension: Is the evidence ‐base disproportionate to the problem?
DiscussionThe evidence supporting the use of psychological therapies for adults with PH is promising, although limited. There is an urgent need for more research in this area to better understand how we can support this clinical group. (Source: The Clinical Respiratory Journal)

Pyopneumothorax with bronchopleural fistula due to pulmonary infection caused by Porphyromonas gingivalis in a patient with periodontitis
Pyopneumothorax with bronchopleural fistula is a rare complication of lung infection. We herein report a case of pyopneumothorax with bronchopleural fistula caused byPorphyromonas gingivalis infection, a common pathogenic pathogen of periodontitis, in a 49-year-old man with periodontitis. The patient was admitted with respiratory failure. Pleural puncture yielded a lot of gas continually and foul-smelling light brown pus, which was found to be caused due to infection withP.  gingivalis by the next generation sequencing (NGS) and anaerobic culture. AbstractPyopneumothorax with bronchopleural fistula is a rare complication ...

Effects of doxofylline as an adjuvant on severe exacerbation and long ‐term prognosis for COPD with different clinical subtypes
ConclusionsAs an adjuvant drug, doxofylline has a good therapeutic effect on patients with the neutrophilic and eosinophilic clinical subtypes of COPD. It can reduce the incidence of severe exacerbation, the use of glucocorticoids, and inflammatory reactions in the long term (when used for a minimum of 3 months). NCAPG stimulates lung adenocarcinoma cell stemness through aerobic glycolysis
ConclusionNCAPG stimulated LUAD cell stemness through activation of glycolysis pathway. NCAPG may be possible biomarker for diagnosis and target for treatment of LUAD. (Source: The Clinical Respiratory Journal)

Clinical features and outcome of eight patients with Chlamydia psittaci pneumonia diagnosed by targeted next generation sequencing
ConclusionsA poultry or bird contact history, typical flu-like symptoms, patchy consolidation, ground-glass density shadow and air bronchogram may contribute to the diagnosis and treatment ofC. psittaci pneumonia. Increase in creatine kinase, creatine kinase isoenzyme and hs-TnT may indicate a severe condition. Moxifloxacin and minocycline were effective in the management ofC. psittaci pneumonia. Investigation of the non ‐small cell lung cancer patients with bronchus involvements: A population‐based study
ConclusionsOur results validated and supported the current T category for the patients with bronchus involvements, which might provide certain reference value for the revisions of T category in the next version of the tumor-node-metastasis stage classification. High ‐flow nasal cannula oxygen therapy for the treatment of acute respiratory failure secondary to SARS‐CoV‐2 pneumonia out of ICU
ConclusionsHFNC outside an ICU is a treatment with high success rate in patients with AHRF secondary to SARS-CoV-2 pneumonia, including in patients in whom this therapy was deemed to be the ceiling of treatment. (Source: The Clinical Respiratory Journal)

Imaging and pathological characteristics, treatment, and prognosis of pulmonary sequestration —A retrospective study of 13 cases
ConclusionsSome patients with pulmonary sequestration exhibit no obvious symptoms. Patients with clinical symptoms are easily confused for pneumonia, bronchial cysts, lung abscesses, and lung tumors; therefore, patients with pulmonary sequestration are prone to missed diagnosis and misdiagnosis. Currently, enhanced chest CT combined with three-dimensional vascular reconstruction can accurately show the course, branches, and relationship with the mass of the feeding artery. Routine pathological examination is helpful to further clarify the diagnosis of pulmonary sequestration. Minimally invasive thoracoscopic surgery is the...

Nomogram to diagnosis of obstructive sleep apnoea ‐hypopnoea syndrome in high‐risk Chinese adult patients
ConclusionWe developed and validated a predictive model with five easily acquire factors to diagnose OSAHS patient in high-risk population with well discriminant ability. Accordingly, we finally build the nomogram model. (Source: The Clinical Respiratory Journal)

Home noninvasive ventilation use in patients hospitalized with COPD
ConclusionApproximately half of individuals with at least one COPD-related hospitalization have CompHRF, but only 8.2% of those use home NIV. Future studies should estimate CHRF rates and the degree of underutilization of home NIV in larger multicenter samples. (Source: The Clinical Respiratory Journal)

Analysis of risk factors of prolonged mechanical ventilation in patients with severe burn injury
ConclusionABSI%, inhalation injury, albumin, and lactic acid on admission are the risk factors for PMV in severe burn patients. In addition, ventilator-related complications were higher in group PMV than in group non-PMV in our study. (Source: The Clinical Respiratory Journal)

Clinical significance of para ‐carinal air cysts in patients with pleuroparenchymal fibroelastosis: The relationship with pneumomediastinum and pneumothorax
ConclusionsOur data showed that PACs commonly occur in patients with PPFE, and most PACs were para-carinal air cysts. Additionally, PACs(+) was a significant risk factor for pneumomediastinum/pneumothorax; therefore, clinicians should be more aware of these complications during follow-up examination, particular in PACs(+) patients with PPFE. Prevalence of suspected obesity hypoventilation syndrome in Hungarian Intensive Care Units during the COVID ‐19 pandemic
ConclusionDespite the increased risk of obese patients, suspected OHS did not show higher prevalence than expected during the COVID-19 pandemic in critically ill patients. COVID-19 infection however was a risk for mortality in these patients, independent of actual BMI. (Source: The Clinical Respiratory Journal)

Investigations of the distant metastatic non ‐small cell lung cancer without local lymph node involvement: Real world data from a large database
ConclusionIn this study, a prognostic nomogram and risk-classifying systems designed for the T1-4N0M1 NSCLC patients showed acceptable performance. Primary lung tumor resection might be a feasible treatment for this population subset. Additionally, we proposed that lymph node stage might have a place in the forthcoming tumor-node-metastasis (TNM)  staging proposal for NSCLC patients with M1 category.
