Classification accuracy and resistance to coaching of the Spanish version of the Inventory of Problems -29 and the Inventory of Problems - Memory: a simulation study with mTBI patients
Conclusions: The results confirm that both of the IOP measures offer a similarly valid but different perspective compared to SIMS when assessing the credibility of symptoms of mTBI. The encouraging findings indicate that both tests are a valuable addition to the symptom validity practices of forensic professionals. Additional research in multiple contexts and with diverse conditions is warranted.PMID:37615421 | DOI:10.1080/13854046.2023.2249171 (Source: The Clinical Neuropsychologist)

Measuring mindreading in preschoolers: the perspective battery (PERBAT)
CONCLUSIONS: The PERBAT could represent a useful neuropsychological tool providing a comprehensive assessment of visual perspective-taking skills in preschool children. Future investigation is needed to examine the validity of the PERBAT with neurotypical samples across countries, race, ethnicity, and language as well as with clinical populations. Longitudinal studies are also encouraged to examine whether early visual perspective-taking weaknesses are associated with later development of mindreading skills.PMID:37615423 | DOI:10.1080/13854046.2023.2250071 (Source: The Clinical Neuropsychologist)

A systematic review of cognition in idiopathic intracranial hypertension
Conclusions: A more complete understanding of the cognitive profile in patients with idiopathic intracranial hypertension could lead to the increased -relevance of cognitive screening in disease management, and therefore more appropriate neuropsychological referral, earlier identification of functional limitations, and targeted neurorehabilitation.PMID:37614079 | DOI:10.1080/13854046.2023.2249176 (Source: The Clinical Neuropsychologist)

Informant sex/gender moderates associations between reported functioning and memory performance in Mexican American adults
Conclusions: Compared to male informants, female informants may provide subjective reports of Mexican American participant functioning that more closely corroborate objective participant performance in memory.PMID:37571992 | DOI:10.1080/13854046.2023.2246669 (Source: The Clinical Neuropsychologist)
