Easing the Burden on Caregivers- Applications of Artificial Intelligence for Physicians and Caregivers of Children with Cleft Lip and Palate
CONCLUSIONS: Artificial Intelligence can help to reduce the burden of generating patient education materials as well as support caregivers in multiple aspects and perioperative care.PMID:38178785 | DOI:10.1177/10556656231223596 (Source: The Cleft Palate-Craniofacial Journal)

Abbe Flap Division Before Two Weeks' Time: Harmful or Advantageous?
CONCLUSION: Dividing the Abbe flap after the first postoperative week appears to be safe and without additional risk to flap loss or wound breakdown. A shorter time to Abbe flap division may decrease the burden of care on patients and their caregivers.PMID:38166385 | DOI:10.1177/10556656231223615 (Source: The Cleft Palate-Craniofacial Journal)

Predicting Failure of Conservative Airway Management in Infants with Robin Sequence: The EARN Factors
CONCLUSIONS: We identified factors in infants with RS that were associated with severe UAO that failed to improve despite weeks of conservative airway management. Our results may expedite earlier definitive treatment of these critical patients and reduce risks for known complications of prolonged UAO.PMID:38166451 | DOI:10.1177/10556656231224194 (Source: The Cleft Palate-Craniofacial Journal)

Assessment of Quality and Readability of Web-Based Arabic Knowledge About Cleft Lip and/or Palate: An Infodemiology Study
CONCLUSION: The available content about CL/P is readable but with moderate to poor quality and trustfulness. Undoubtedly, there is a serious need to increase and improve the quality of the web-based Arabic population's knowledge about CL/P, especially by governmental institutions and universities. Establishing specialized websites for CL/P is also needed.PMID:38158230 | DOI:10.1177/10556656231223861 (Source: The Cleft Palate-Craniofacial Journal)

Evaluation of a Novel Objective Method for The Assessment of Nasal Symmetry Among Patients with Unilateral Cleft Lip
CONCLUSIONS: This method accurately distinguishes healthy patients from cleft lip patients. We have achieved High levels of inter and intra-rater reliability. Significant correlations were found between our semiobjective method and the subjective scores.PMID:38130069 | DOI:10.1177/10556656231222451 (Source: The Cleft Palate-Craniofacial Journal)
