Age-specific differences in cervical cancer screening rates in women using mental health services in New South Wales, Australia
CONCLUSION: Women who use mental health services are less likely to participate in cervical cancer screening. Rates diverged from population rates in service users aged ⩾35 years and were very low for women aged >65 years. Intervention is needed to bridge these gaps. New screening approaches such as self-testing may assist.PMID:38095076 | DOI:10.1177/00048674231217415 (Source: The Australian and New Zealand Journal of Psychiatry)

The Kessler Psychological Distress Scale in Australian adolescents: Analysis of the second Australian Child and Adolescent Survey of Mental Health and Wellbeing
CONCLUSION: The K10 has utility for assessing psychological distress in health care and epidemiological research in Australian adolescents. Adolescents with K10 scores in the 'very high' range are at increased risk of MDD. Further assessment of these young people is indicated to identify those with or at risk of developing MDD.PMID:38095118 | DOI:10.1177/00048674231216601 (Source: The Australian and New Zealand Journal of Psychiatry)
