An observer-rated strategy for differentiating schizophrenic and manic states in inpatient settings
CONCLUSION: Analyses allow the properties of an observational measure (the 20-item Sydney Psychosis Observation Tool) to be described. While a single cut-off difference score was derived with acceptable discriminatory ability, we also established the capacity of varying difference scores to assign both schizophrenia and mania diagnoses with high accuracy.PMID:37771099 | DOI:10.1177/00048674231201545 (Source: The Australian and New Zealand Journal of Psychiatry)

Mental ill-health and substance use among sexuality diverse adolescents: The critical role of school climate and teacher self-efficacy
DISCUSSION: Mental ill-health, substance use and especially their co-occurrence, are highly prevalent and pose significant and inequitable health and well-being risks. Schools represent a potential site for focusing future prevention efforts and educating and training teachers on sexuality diversity is a promising pathway towards optimising these.PMID:37772601 | DOI:10.1177/00048674231202427 (Source: The Australian and New Zealand Journal of Psychiatry)
