Does Hearing Impairment Impact Spatial Orientation, Navigation, and Rotation Abilities?
CONCLUSIONS: The study found that individuals with hearing loss exhibited lower performance in various cognitive tasks related to spatial orientation, navigation, spatial learning, mental imagery, and rotation abilities when compared to an age and sex matched control group. Foreign Body Reaction Requiring Re-Exploration After Tympanoplasty With Porcine Small Intestinal Submucosa Reconstruction
CONCLUSIONS: We report the first case of post-tympanoplasty reaction with the use of Biodesign acellular porcine graft in a patient with no previous known exposure to meat products. CONCLUSIONS: HNS holds promise as an effective treatment option for pediatric patients with DS and persistent OSA after AT and CPAP trials. It significantly improves sleep-disordered breathing, quality of life, and neurocognitive measures, leading to substantial and sustained benefits for these children. CONCLUSION: THRIVE is a feasible, safe, and efficacious means of apneic oxygenation for patients undergoing esophageal endoscopic surgery under general anesthesia with neuromuscular paralysis, which may be particularly beneficial in patients with airway stenosis, as post-intubation changes can have severe clinical implications for this patient population.
