Identifying important predictors of adolescent suicide ideation, planning, and attempt in low- and middle-income countries
CONCLUSION: These findings provide insights into the unique needs in global mental health policy and efforts within and across adolescents in LMIC.PMID:38078537 | DOI:10.1111/sltb.13032 (Source: Suicide and Life-Threatening Behavior)

A comparison of retrospectively reported and ecological momentary assessment-reported perceived social support in predicting ecological momentary assessment-reported non-suicidal self-injury
CONCLUSIONS: EMA-reported perceived emotional social support captured information not represented by baseline reports alone, but improvement in model fit was modest. EMA-reported social support may further improve the estimation of EMA-reported NSSI urges if modeled as a proximal predictor of NSSI. Further work is needed to clarify temporal directions between social support and NSSI urges. Limitations are discussed.PMID:38078550 | DOI:10.1111/sltb.13031 (Source: Suicide and Life-Threatening Behavior)

Life is precious: A quasi-experimental study of a community-based program to prevent suicide among Latina adolescents in New York City
CONCLUSION: The effects of LIP were in positive directions across clinical outcomes, warranting further research on its effectiveness in decreasing STBs.PMID:38050824 | DOI:10.1111/sltb.13027 (Source: Suicide and Life-Threatening Behavior)

Suicide-related disclosure patterns among culturally minoritized youth: Examining differences across race, ethnicity, gender identity, and sexual orientation
CONCLUSION: Racial and gender disparities in suicide-related disclosure may occur for distinct reasons among adolescents. Uncovering patterns of disclosure may facilitate detection of suicide risk among minoritized youth.PMID:38032047 | DOI:10.1111/sltb.13026 (Source: Suicide and Life-Threatening Behavior)
