Trypan blue as an affordable marker for automated live ‐dead cell analysis in image cytometry
Summary The aim of the present study was to combine image cytometry and trypan blue (TB) exclusion staining for a reproducible high‐throughput detection of dead cells, enabling TB as an inexpensive marker, to be affordable for many studies and creating the possibility to combine fluorochromes without or with less spectral overlap. Capillary blood was drawn from a healthy volunteer, red blood cells were lysed and leukocyte cell death was induced. A micro ‐computed tomography study of the negotiation and anatomical feature in apical root canal of mandibular molars
Summary The aim of this study was to investigate the clinical negotiation of various apical anatomic features of the mandibular first molars in a Chinese population using micro‐computed tomography (micro‐CT). A total of 152 mandibular first molars were scanned with micro‐CT at 30 µm resolution. The apical 5 mm of root canal (ARC) was reconstructed three dimensionally and classified. Bending resistance and cyclic fatigue of a new heat ‐treated reciprocating instrument
Summary The current study aimed to evaluate the bending resistance and the cyclic fatigue life of a new heat‐treated reciprocating instrument (ProDesign R). Untreated ProDesign R, Reciproc R25, and WaveOne Primary instruments were used as reference instruments for comparison.
