Conclusion: this study presents psychometric data from two adult reading assessment instruments. Both instruments had satisfactory validity and reliability. Prolongations in the speech of adults who do and do not stutter
Conclusion: non hesitative prolongations occurred more frequently in RG, in initial words, monosyllables, and medial position of the sentence. Qualitatively, the muscular tension was a typical characteristic of non hesitative prolongations in RG. No differences were found for hesitative prolongations between the groups in relation to the frequency of the total of speech, the position of prolongations in the words and in the sentences, and for the qualitative characteristics, regarding to muscular tension and duration. Students' performance in letter identification and lexical process tests
Conclusion: the students from private school showed superior performance, except for the tests in whi ch the phonological route was not entirely required. However, in the beginning of literacy, the phonological route was more used than the lexical route, regardless of the type of school. This study shows the education system necessity for prioritizing in early literacy the letter-sound relationship, so the students from public institutions can present better decoding results, which can directly impact reading and comprehension. Audiologic characteristics of patients with diabetes mellitus type 2
Conclusions: Prevalence of symmetrical bilateral sensorineural hearing loss with a flat configuration, and absence of TEOAE and DPOAE. The association analysis of the results of PTA and OAE suggests loss of outer hair cells of the cochlea or possible auditory neuropathy. Anatomical classification of lingual frenulum in babies
Conclusion: the lingual frenulu m were classified as normal or altered, being predominant normal lingual frenulum and thin thickness. Altered frenulum was prevalent in males.
